iPhone 16 Pro Max: последние новости, слухи и все, что мы знаем на данный момент

iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is undoubtedly one of the most impressive smartphones available, at least when it comes to its capabilities and features. It is a true flagship device that sets the standard for what other phones should strive to achieve. As such, we are eagerly anticipating the release of the next iteration of this popular device, the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

While the iPhone 15 Pro Max remains a formidable device, there are some areas where it could be improved. For example, other phones may outperform it when it comes to scalability and charging speeds. However, Apple has a history of releasing devices that exceed expectations, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has the potential to be an even more significant upgrade.

Based on the rumors and leaks we’ve seen so far, we expect the iPhone 16 Pro Max to include a larger screen, additional buttons, and perhaps even optical zoom for long-range photography. Additionally, we hope to see improvements in other areas such as battery life and camera quality.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to monitor the latest leaks and rumors surrounding the iPhone 16 Pro Max and update this article as new information becomes available. For a more detailed look at what we hope to see in the new device, please refer to the second half of this article where we’ve compiled a wishlist of features we think would be great additions to the iPhone lineup.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: Expected Release Date and Price

Apple typically releases iPhones on Tuesdays or Wednesdays in the first or second week of September. The phones are often put on sale the following Friday, and the iPhone 15 ProMax went on sale a few days after its announcement.

For reference, the iPhone 15 Pro Max was announced on September 12 during Apple’s September event. Pre-orders went on sale on September 15, and the phone will be available for purchase on September 22. The base model with 256GB of storage starts at $1,199 / £1,199 / AUD $2,199. There is also a 512GB model in the mid-range and a 1TB version at the top end of the price range, which costs $1,599 / £1,599 / $2,899 respectively.

We expect that the availability of the iPhone 16 ProMax will follow this pattern (along with the rest of the iPhone 16 series). However, there may be an increase in price due to the upgraded camera system.

iPhone 16 Pro Max or Ultra?

Ahead of the release of the iPhone 15 series, there have been rumors about whether the year 2023 will be the time when Apple will introduce the “Ultra” model into the lineup. This is a suffix that other companies such as Samsung, Motorola, and Xiaomi use in their phone lines. Since the Wonderlust event took place and there were no rumors about the iPhone 15 Ultra, it seems likely that the release of an Ultra iPhone will relate to the Apple iPhone 16 series, which is expected to be released at the end of 2024. There is currently uncertainty about whether the Ultra Pro Max will replace the current ProMax model or be released alongside it. If Apple chooses the second option, it could increase the price of the iPhone, making it more expensive than ever before.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: Anticipated Design and Display

The 6.7-inch ProMotion display of the 15 Pro Max is expected to be the highlight of the device. Although we are still a ways off from having full details at this early stage, there has already been some speculation about the design of the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

According to reports from the South Korean publication The Elec, the Face ID system, first introduced in the Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro models, will be integrated under the screen pixels, leaving only the front camera visible on the 16 Pro Max.Speaking of the screen, Apple has managed to make the frames thinner on both iPhone 15 Pro models. However, a key analyst at Display Supply Chain Consultants predicts that the entire panel will grow in size next year. If this prediction is true, the iPhone 16 Pro Max could have a 6.9-inch screen, which would make it the largest iPhone currently available. DSCC’s key analyst, Ross Young, also suggests that Apple might finally move away from the 19.5:9 aspect ratio used in recent iPhones and opt for a 19.6:9 ratio instead. This would make the iPhone 16 Pro line slightly taller and narrower than the iPhone 15 Pro.

The camera hardware in the last two iPhone generations has seen a significant improvement. The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with a 48-megapixel main sensor, compared to 12 megapixels previously. This new sensor adds 2X lossless zoom and several other photographic features.Fast forward to this year’s iPhone lineup, and we have an improved 48MP main sensor. The iPhone 15 Pro Max also features Apple’s first telephoto lens with a periscopic design that can magnify the image up to five times. Some sources suggest that the next model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, may go even further and challenge Samsung in the camera department.

According to Digital Chat Station’s report, the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s camera could boast a “super telephoto” lens with a focal length equal to or exceeding 300mm, surpassing the current Galaxy S23 Ultra’s zoom capabilities. This would make it a serious contender in the high-end smartphone market.Depending on Apple’s approach, the camera module for the iPhone 16 Pro Max could use either an extended prism design, similar to that used in Samsung’s Ultra phones, or a folded prism, such as the one found in the telephoto lens of the 5X 15 Pro Max. Alternatively, Apple could combine existing prism and sensor technologies to achieve an impressive zoom range. We’ve also heard that the company may use a thinner, molded glass lens to achieve this magnification.

Assuming the main sensor in the iPhone 16 Pro Max maintains its current focal length of 24 mm, a telephoto lens with a focal length range of 150 mm (6x magnification) in combination with a larger sensor would allow for a 2x zoom to achieve a magical 300 mm focal length. As previously mentioned, it is still unclear whether the super-telephoto camera will be included in the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the iPhone 16 Ultra, or both. However, regardless of which device it appears on, we are hoping that 2024 will be the year that this technology becomes available on the iPhone.

iPhone 14 Pro Max Cameras

In addition to its primary long-range shooting capabilities, Apple may also use Sony’s camera hardware, specifically the Exmor T sensor technology found in the Xperia 1 V and Xperia 5 V models. This technology allows Sony to create a camera with a larger sensor that can absorb more light, resulting in improved image quality.

According to experienced analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 16 Pro series will also receive this sensor upgrade. Additionally, respected analyst Jeff Pu has claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will receive several key upgrades compared to the iPhone 15 Pro. These include an ultra-wide-angle camera with 48 megapixels, which Pu previously mentioned in October.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: Anticipated Features and Capabilities

On the release date of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple also unveiled Xcode 15, revealing that the device will come with 8GB of RAM, compared to 6GB in previous generations. Therefore, it is expected that the 16 Pro Max will follow this trend and support the next generation of Apple’s A17 Pro chip, which is expected to be unveiled in the 15 Pro Max – likely the A18 SoC.

Indeed, a recent leak specifically mentions the A18 in combination with 8GB RAM for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models.

Furthermore, the source also revealed that these devices will support Wi-Fi 7 and a new 5G modem, providing faster data transfer speeds compared to current models.Three months after this initial announcement, this source has again stated that they expect 8 GB of RAM and a new 5G modem in the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This can not only provide faster 5G speeds, but it can also be more energy-efficient, extending battery life.

Although the amount of RAM may not increase, there is a possibility that the amount of storage may increase. One leak suggests that the maximum storage capacity of the iPhone 16 Pro Max could be 2TB, rather than the current limit of 1TB. This is likely due to the use of a different type of storage that takes up less space and is cheaper to produce, although it provides a slower writing speed.

As for the new USB-C connection, it is unlikely that Apple will change charging or data transfer speeds just one year after the switch, but who knows.

However, there is one change we can expect regarding internal materials. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is reportedly going to be equipped with a graphene radiator to keep the device cool, as well as a metal battery case.We have also seen leaked images of the battery for the iPhone 16 Pro in a metal casing, which adds to the credibility of the above information.

Regarding the battery, a source has claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 4676 mAh capacity, compared to 4441 mAh for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The battery capacity of the new iPhone 16 Pro Max has been mentioned several times previously, while another source simply states that it will have a larger capacity than the previous model.

Apple is expected to include artificial intelligence features in the new iPhone lineup, possibly based on Google’s Gemini. One source claims that at least some of these features will be exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models. In this regard, we have heard that the A18 Pro chipset in the iPhone 16 Pro Max may have significantly more cores for its Neural Engine, compared to the A17 Pro found in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This could mean that the A18 Pro has a larger crystal area, which could improve the performance of artificial intelligence tasks on the device. However, there is also a possibility that the A18 Pro will not be significantly more powerful, as one leak suggests it may be only about 10% more powerful than the A17 Pro.

Another potential concern is that the A18 Pro might not have the same level of RAM speed as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 found in competing Android phones, which could limit its ability to perform AI tasks. This could be a disadvantage for the iPhone 16 Pro Max compared to other devices.

Despite these concerns, it’s important to note that these are all unconfirmed reports at this time, and we don’t have any official information from Apple or other sources to confirm or deny these claims. Until more information becomes available, it will be difficult to determine the exact capabilities of the A18 Pro.We’ve also heard that the microphones in the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max and other models in the iPhone 16 series may be improved, so that the AI-powered Siri update, expected later this year, can hear you more clearly.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: What We Want to See

Speaking of dreams, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max was undoubtedly an impressive device, we believe that Apple has left room for the next generation to take things further based on what the market has to offer. That’s what we would like to see in the iPhone 16 ProMax.

iPhone 16 Pro Max: latest news, rumors and everything we know so far

1. The Best Colors

This year, the 15 Pro and Pro Max models with titanium coating are available in four colors: white, black, blue, and “natural” titanium. Although the talk about the nanocoating and the 14-hour process required to achieve the final look was very impressive during the presentation, the result of these premium coatings is good, though a little unexciting.

With the introduction of the Deep Purple shade, the iPhone 14 Pro and ProMax seemed like they were outside of Apple’s usual style, but a year later, such a departure has not been maintained. And this is despite rumors of a possible new exciting Deep Red color.

Regarding the iPhone 16 Pro Max, we hope that this additional Deep Red option will finally be available, or at least that Apple will take more risks with its 2023 iPhone Pro finish.

2. Fast Charging

USB-C for iPhone 15 Pro Max

Apple has not made any attempts to speed up charging this year in the iPhone series. While larger batteries and more efficient chips should improve efficiency, a small increase in charging speed would not hurt.

3. Faster Data Transfer via USB

One of the first iPhone models with a USB-C port has been released. European regulators may have influenced Apple to adopt the USB-C standard in the iPhone 15 lineup. Although the company did not significantly improve data transfer speeds compared to the previous generation’s Lightning port, they at least provided faster speeds for the 15 Pro and Pro Max models with USB 3.0, up to 10 Gbps. However, on the same day as the 15 series’ launch, Intel introduced its Thunderbolt 5 standard, which has a theoretical maximum data transfer speed of 120 Gbps – 12 times faster than the 15 Pro and Pro Max ports. As computers are expected to have Thunderbolt 5 ports starting in 2024 and Apple already uses the Thunderbolt standard for Macs and displays, it seems that the only reason why Apple has not yet implemented an even faster port for the iPhone 16 Pro Max is because of their own decision.

4. Camera Under the Display

Dynamic Island was introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and although there are already rumors about Face ID components appearing under the display for next year’s Pro models, only Apple can solve the mystery of the cameras under the display.

Models like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Red Magic 8S Pro are equipped with camera technology under the display, but due to the physics of this technology, the image quality remains at a low level. If Apple spends the same amount of time and effort on this as they did on Dynamic Island, there is no doubt that they can create a remarkable camera under the display technology in a future iPhone model.
