How I Tested the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
I first got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 ahead of its launch at an exclusive event in London. After that, Samsung sent me a sample device for testing purposes. I kept the Z Flip 4 around for comparison purposes (it was the device that was being reviewed at the time of its 2022 launch). I used the Z Flip 5 every day during this review.
I quickly noticed that I had trouble finding reasons to use the Flip 5. Once I discovered that the Good Lock feature allowed me to launch almost any app on the home screen, it became a lot of fun to see how various unoptimized apps worked on the new device’s large external display. The Flex View feature was also a great addition: I could cook dinner while watching a YouTube video from the countertop.I purchased a compatible 65W Samsung charger to test the optimal charging speed of the phone, as the charger was not included in the package. I used the device’s internal statistics to record the length of each charge.
